Safety Turtle Alarm System Combo Kit

Drowning is the biggest cause of death for children below the age of 5 in Australia. In addition, for every child that drowns, many more are admitted to hospital and between 5 and 20% of these will suffer brain damage to some extent.

Kit consists of the following:

1 x Base Station
1 x Turtle Wrist Band
1 x Gate Alarm
1 x Carry Bag

Base Station

The Safety Turtle consists of a base station, normally located in the house, and a wristband worn by the child. The wristband, designed in the shape of a colourful turtle, locks securely around the child's wrist.

The product is ruggedly built to withstand child's play and permanently sealed. Being permanently sealed means there is no chance of the alarm failing to sound due to incorrect battery installation, failure to re-seal the unit correctly, etc., by the end user. Rain or spray from lawn sprinklers will not trigger the alarm. The wristband instantly detects immersion in water and sends a radio signal to the base station, which then sounds a loud distinctive alarm to alert the household.

Safety Turtle Wrist Band Any number of wristbands can be used with one base station. There is no hardware to install and the unit is completely portable and ready for use at all times. While no product could ever take the place of adult supervision, The Safety Turtle offers an additional layer of protection to help save lives.

Gate Alarm

All pools should be fenced, but the weakest link always tends to be the gate. Wear and tear may cause the gate to be left open, or a child could possibly open the gate when the parents are not aware that this is occurring. The Safety Turtle wireless gate alarm has been designed to enhance the security of a swimming pool fence.

If the Safety Turtle gate alarm is installed, the alarm will sound at the Base Station (usually located in the house) if a child succeeds in unlatching the gate, or if the gate fails to re-latch after adult entry. (In addition, if a child wearing a Safety Turtle wristband enters the water, the alarm will sound).

Gate Alarm Features:

The gate alarm can be installed by the home owner on any wood or metal gate.
The alarm is wireless, which allows you to decide where alarming occurs, within 250 ft. [75 m.] of the gate. Other similar systems usually alarm only at the gate, where you may not hear it.
The system also has an adult bypass switch on top of the unit, which means that the Safety Turtle gate sensor never has to be disarmed. It provides an 11 second entry time so the alarm sounds on child entry but not on adult entry. Entry time can be extended by holding or repeatedly depressing the switch within 11 seconds. An LED on the sensor illuminates during the bypass period. It also confirms that the battery is functioning. The Safety Turtle gate alarm is able to operate in weather all year-round.
