Auto-Skim Plate These are a better alternative to "speed control valves". All suction cleaners need the suction from the pump to be regulated. Running too much suction through cleaners can stop them from performing properly, stop them all together, and even wear them out 4-6 times faster costing you more money in maintenance expenses. Also being mounted lower in the skimmer they are less likely to create a vortex (make slurping noises). Please specify in shopping cart what brand of skimmer-box you have. If you don't know take a picture of the original vac-plate and basket, as well as a picture looking down into the skimmer-box itself and send it to us so we can send you the right plate. Also by doing this we will tell you what brand skimmer-box you have for future reference.
