Generic Weighted Main Drain Cover Many older style main drain covers are no longer available, leaving an ugly, dangerous open hole on the bottom of the pool. Not to mention the possibility that children could get their foot stuck in the hole and drown. Also pool cleaners can get stuck in the open hole instead of cleaning your pool. These are held in place in the hole with a weight fitted to the underside of the cover.
